He was born in Istanbul. He is a graduate of the Computer Science And Engineering Department at Istanbul University. As the name of his website (highhills) implies, he enjoys being in high mountains.He began engaging in outdoor sports at the Yeni Ufuklar Nature Sports Club (YUDOSK). Later, he became one of the founding members of the Klos Mountaineering Specialization Club. He has completed numerous winter and summer climbs in Mounts Ararat, Cilo-Sat Mountains (part of the Hakkari Mountains), Suphan, Erciyes, Hasan, Uludag, Sultan Mountains, Dedegol, and Aladaglar (Anti-Taurus Mountains). He strives to inspire those around him to love outdoor sports, especially mountaineering.
He actively participates in mountaineering, rock climbing, and paragliding. He is also passionate about skiing. In addition to his love for mountains, another passion of his is table tennis. He plays in the Chinese style and is always open to challenges from confident opponents with an invitation of “come, let’s compete!” 🙂
His life philosophy is based on the saying, “It’s better to burn out than to fade away.” While this phrase can have different interpretations, it is often associated with living life intensely. Whether life is short or long, slow or fast, doesn’t matter. What matters is that it’s better to live a memorable, impactful life that leaves a mark, rather than living a safe, long life and being forgotten!“Mountains are my source of motivation. They have given me joy, peace, new friends, adventure, pain, tears, and made me patient, humble, resilient, and strong.
